COLORADO + DESTINATION

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Documentary-meets-editorial coverage for couples who want photos that take them back to how it all felt.

For couples who want photos that are timeless but not boring,
candid but still cool,
editorial but never stiff

…you’re in the right place.

“I don’t even know where to begin because working with Kelsey was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

From the first conversation, she felt like someone we could trust, she was calm, kind, and so genuinely invested in making our day special. On our wedding day, she brought such a comforting energy. She made us feel completely at ease, like we were just hanging out with a friend who happened to have a camera. She captured moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and she somehow managed to be everywhere without ever feeling intrusive. The photos were absolutely beautiful. Full of emotion, warmth, and all the little details that made our day ours. She didn’t just take pictures; she documented our story in the most meaningful way, and we will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. So grateful for her and her talent!

Candids, champagne & capturing your memories.

We might be besties (and be a GREAT photo fit for each other) if…

  • You like having a plan for most things, but believe the best moments are spontaneous.

  • You like to find unique and interesting ways to enjoy the best things in life, including (but not limited to) coffee, tacos, dogs and being a lowkey foodie. For example, moving to Colorado and adopting a corgi-golden retriever mix while supplementing an adaptogen-infused coffee habit. Not that I’m speaking from experience…

  • Traditions just for traditions’ sake? Don’t know her. While you enjoy honoring the past, you prioritize moments that are genuine, fun and feel like you.

  • You like one or more of the following: Trader Joe’s snacks, being outside, fresh flowers, petting dogs, brunch, impulse online purchases, farmers’ markets, Costco hot dogs and cold brew.

If you’re thinking “yep, that’s me!”, then hello! I think you might have found The One. I mean me, as your photographer.

Meet Kelsey // the face behind Sunbeam Studio

My background in journalism taught me how to observe before anything else: to anticipate moments, read a room, and tell a story through a photograph. Over time (and once I realized that I loved loved LOVED weddings and that would be way more fun than a newsroom job lol), I evolved my style to blend documentary honesty with an editorial eye. I believe you shouldn’t have to choose between great photos and a great time.

I’m drawn to the balance of it all. The polished and the imperfect, the composed and the completely unplanned. Your people all in one place, the big moments and the tiny ones, and everything in between. The result is you get photos that feel both elevated and deeply personal — and that take you right back to how you felt.
